After working over 15 years running a boutique with her mom, Elizabeth Berg was ready to branch out on her own. At the same time the opportunity presented itself to open in the Houston Heights, she began to learn about the devastating effects of fast fashion on our environment and our world. With that knowledge came the impetus for Oak and Sparrow boutique - a shop with a commitment to find artisans and brands who have a shared commitment to social good.
Oak and Sparrow showcases a wide assortment of women’s ethical clothing, accessories, and home goods. Ethical goods include but are not limited to sustainable, eco-friendly, fair trade, and slow fashion products.
Elizabeth reflects on her years in fashion, saying, “Houston shoppers are discerning and many want to put their money where their values lie. My dream is to carry fashion and products that create a better future for everyone working in the design, production, and distribution processes.” Oak and Sparrow boutique aims to marry the commitment to social good with carefully curated fashion and home goods for the Greater Heights and beyond.
